Why the Alpa Is Ideal
for Sites with Frequent Short-Term Installation and Removal

Lightweight and High-Strength—Reducing On-Site Workload.
Easy to Carry and Install by Hand

The Alpa prop weighs just 8.9 kg, yet offers a load capacity of 19 kN. Made of aluminum with a corrosion-resistant surface finish, it is built for durability and long-term use.

Its lightweight design makes manual transport and setup quick and efficient on short-duration projects, helping reduce the number of delivery trips and the manpower required.

Ideal for sites where installation and dismantling are repeated daily, the Alpa streamlines workflow, reduces overtime, and minimizes the need for extra crew or idle time.

User-Friendly Insertion Pipe Design Reduces Risk
of Accidents and Wear

Featuring an easy-to-handle insertion pipe system,
this aluminum prop is lightweight and highly corrosion-resistant—making it ideal for coastal or humid environments without compromising performance.

It resists dents and seizing even after repeated setup and removal, helping reduce repair and disposal costs. With minimal need for anti-rust treatment during storage and simple wipe-down cleaning, maintenance is also simplified.

This reduces the need for backup stock or emergency replacements, contributing to shorter downtime and improved profit margins.

Lightweight and High-Strength – Reducing the Physical Burden on Workers

Traditional steel props are heavy and difficult to handle, often considered the least favored equipment by formwork carpenters. During transport, the inner tube must be tilted to prevent it from slipping and falling, which adds extra handling time and risk.

With the introduction of the lightweight yet high-strength Alpa prop, transporting and installing props on site has become significantly easier, leading to major improvements in work efficiency. Its insertion pipe design allows it to stand on its own, and its corrosion-resistant aluminum body makes it both durable and easy to handle.

As construction sites face an aging workforce, the Alpa prop has proven effective in reducing the physical burden on skilled laborers.

Fine Adjustment Under Load

Flex Heavy-Duty Prop HD

HP

Source:PERI Official Website
https://www.peri.ltd.uk/products/peri-up-flex-heavy-duty-prop-hd.html

Why the Flex Heavy-Duty Prop HD Is Ideal
for Sites That Require Fine Adjustment Under Load

Real-Time Deflection Adjustment Without Interrupting Work

Thanks to its hydraulic cylinder mechanism, the prop allows for height and reaction force adjustments even under load, ensuring stable performance during use. In applications like seismic retrofitting or staged demolition, it enables quick correction of clearances and deflection without halting work—preventing structural interference and overloading.

It also allows for immediate fine-tuning when replacing bearings or correcting elevation gaps based on measurements, minimizing schedule delays and avoiding the need to reinstall temporary supports.

Balancing Safety with Reduced Expansion and Protection Costs

Pre-applied prestress supports the self-weight of beams and slabs, along with live loads, helping to prevent sudden drops or falling components during dismantling. This minimizes the risk of damage to scaffolding, piping, and equipment, as well as preventing potential injuries.

Even during transitional phases of seismic reinforcement work, the system maintains level positioning and deflection control, reducing the need for additional temporary supports. As a result, traffic restrictions and protection zones around the site can be minimized—leading to fewer labor hours and lower overall costs.

Streamlining Staged Concrete Pouring Operations

At a site with a 30-meter diameter shaft and a height of 15 meters, the concrete needed to be poured in multiple stages. This required a shoring system capable of supporting and adjusting under load while enabling safe lowering during the process.

The Flex Heavy-Duty Prop HD allows for controlled displacement and lowering even under heavy loads, ensuring safe and reliable support and release during staged construction. This improved manageability throughout the process.

Additionally, the hydraulic unit can be relocated between props, reducing the number of cylinders required and contributing to better cost efficiency for materials and equipment.

For Long-Term
Outdoor Installations

Tetrashor

HP

Source: Altrad Official Website
https://www.altrad-coffrage.com/en/solutions/shoring/props/tetrashor.html

Why Tetrashor Is Ideal
for Long-Term Outdoor Installations

Exceptional Durability That Keeps Construction on Track

The use of high-strength steel with a galvanized finish enhances corrosion resistance, making the system highly durable even in harsh conditions such as rain, snow, and salt exposure.

It withstands long-term outdoor installation without significant deterioration, reducing the need for weatherproofing and ongoing maintenance, and helping to prevent delays in the construction schedule.

Fewer repainting and replacement cycles, along with reduced inspection frequency, allow for higher equipment uptime and contribute to lower material costs.

Lateral Stability That Maintains Structural Precision

Its integrated modular design offers superior resistance to lateral forces, effectively preventing shifting and tilting caused by wind loads or minor vibrations.
This helps reduce the risk of unexpected accidents and workplace injuries.

Even during typhoons or earthquakes, the system maintains structural tolerances.
By minimizing the need for reinstallation, reinforcement, routine inspections, and temporary fencing repairs, it also supports long-term construction planning by ensuring site safety and reducing complaints from nearby properties.

Ensuring Safety and Work Efficiency in Long-Term Construction

Tetrashor was adopted for civil engineering work at a station site. The project spanned 14 months and required parallel progress on both the station and tunnel sections, posing significant challenges—including restricted site access, long-term load management, and safe assembly and dismantling in uneven or crane-inaccessible areas.

A total of 11 tons of Tetrashor were supplied to the site. While tunnel excavation work continued below, parallel construction was enabled above using temporary support with 10-meter spans over a 45-meter station section. This setup ensured long-term stability and safe working conditions, even during concurrent operations.
